The clarity problem
Work-management products tend to compete by adding views, fields, configuration, and automation. Saying “simple” is not enough when every competitor makes the same claim. Workz needed to show that less tool-management is the product strategy.
The decisions
- Name the three familiar jobs—projects, products, and tasks—immediately.
- Position against feature-heavy work tools instead of claiming generic productivity.
- Turn calmness into observable product behavior: clear ownership, visible next actions, and fewer views.
- Keep pricing and a no-card start close to the first evaluation path.
The useful takeaway
“Simple” becomes differentiated only when the page shows what the product deliberately refuses to complicate.
